Why not go into a bookies & stick it all on a horse if you like to gamble coz that's what stocks & shares are.
Get it into property as long as it's not on a flood plain.0 -
I would strongly suggest looking into Index Tracker Funds (such as Vanguard) if you're turning to the stock markets.
They are low risk (compared to guessing/picking individual companies or sectors), take little management and importantly are low cost.0 -

gold worth looking at for mid to long term - point being, 1. don't put all your eggs in that basket. Far too volatile 2. there will come a point you can cash out, take it then, not when you expected if one is sooner than t'other. You're not buying at the top- in fact in a long term view there's a correction due on prices upwards, but be patient.0
