Can I reclaim bank account fees?

Hi All,

For several years I had a #Silver XXX# account with RBS, which was charged at 15 pounds for four years for the upper silver account then 8 pounds a month for a few years on the lesser silver account. I have downloaded all my statements from RBS for the year 2007 onwards and these fees amount to around 800 pounds. I was initially sold the account on the basis that I would get favourable loan rates and improved chance of loan approvals. Additionally, an element of the account was CPP Identity protection which I never used. Actually, I never used any of the benefits for the accounts or claimed.

Am I able to reclaim these fees given the current climate?

Any help welcomed

Dominic
