Engine diagnostic/management warning light

While out I took my car to a nearby Motosave shop. They said they could do a diagnostic at a charge of £45
. But meanwhile the light went out anyway  Anyway my garage didn't seem to think the sky was falling and said my age/make of car could have erratic warnings like that. Think I'll leave it unless the light goes back on. 0 -
Long as your car is 02 or younger & not a VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda (think it's Skoda) then you can blue a tenner on eBay (see link above) & wave 2 digits at the £45 bill.
I love mine as I can chisel down the ignorant girlie tax by saying it's showing the QQXX fault (& with a bit of googling can see what that is usually reckoned to need to do to sort. I even price checked genuine Ford parts... Still unpleasant but less so than just handing over my wallet with the key.)0
