IVA PPI Claims - length of time to resolve

Hi, first time using this forum and I hope someone can advise me;
I made the final payment of my IVA in September and am waiting for the completion certificate however ClearDebt began a PPI claim on my behalf prior to this and cannot issue the cert until the claim is resolved - fine I understand this.
However the claim started almost a year ago now and the people making the claim on mine/my supervisors behalf have advised they cannot get the information they need from HSBC despite numerous attempts.
They advise they are reluctant to contact the Financial Ombudsman due to the back log they currently have......
This is increasingly frustrating as I don't care about the claim as I'm unlikely to see any off it but the longer I wait for the certificate the longer it'll take to rebuild my credit rating.
Are there any time limits on resolving these claims when they involve an IVA or in addition is there anything I can do to speed things along!
Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks :j desperately frustrated user

Here I think? http://www.cleardebt.co.uk/info/complaints
Whilst we undertake to look into any complaint carefully and promptly and to do all we can to explain the position to you, if you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to refer the matter to the Insolvency Complaints Gateway which is operated by the Insolvency Service, an Executive Agency of the Department of Business Innovation and Skills (BIS). Complaints can be made by email, telephone or letter as follows:

Emailing the completed complaints form to: ip.complaints@insolvency.gsi.gov.uk
Posting the completed complaints form to: IP Complaints, Insolvency Service, 3rd Floor, 1 City Walk, Leeds, LS11 9D
To obtain a complaint form or for more details, please visit: http://www.bis.gov.uk/insolvency/contact-us/IP-Complaints-Gateway

Hi I have 6 months left in my IVA with Grant Thorton. I was contacted by EIC a year ago regarding PPI . I sent back all the forms they sent and I know I do have money that could be claimed back . To be honest all I want is to end my IVA and get my certificate of completion and rebuild my credit rating !! However I have heard nothing from grant Thorton (even after calling them several times)
Can anyone give me any advice !! I have been reading though these forums , and I'm pretty scared on what other people's experiences have been !!
Many many thanks0 -
Find out the company who is dealing with the PPI claim and contact them directly. I would also be reporting Grant Thornton to the IP body (details in thread above) and reporting them for their lack of communication.
I've not had anything back from my complaint nor anything from the company reclaiming my PPI so will be contacting the Finance Ombudsman!0
