PCN Not Registered Keeper

Afternoon all,
First up, apologies if this has already been dealt with somewhere else in the forum. I've read the Newbie pinned post, and have done a bit of a search over the past few days, but still a little confused as to what to do...
I'm a new driver, and I've been driving my dad's old car. We haven't got round to changing the registered owner yet, and aren't really in a rush to do so. I still live with my parents so the car is still at the same address.
I recently parked at the Motorway Service Station in Kinross and over stayed the free two hours. I thought nothing of it - with there being no access barriers to or from the parking I assumed the two hours wasn't exactly enforced.
Two days ago, though, my dad received a letter from CP Plus, charging him £100, but would reduce it to £50 if paid within a set time. With me being the driver, I'm not sure what to do...
All the advice I've read on here (and in other places) says to just ignore it. However, I'd rather not have my dad being hassled by the company and any "debt-collectors" letters. To add to it, he also received one from another company for a separate "parking offence", so I don't want two hanging over him when one was all on me.
Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on how to progress? Obviously they're both scams, so we shouldn't pay, but should we totally ignore them? Should we inform one that I was the driver, and then ignore it?
Any advice would be great.
Cheers.

As you are talking about Scotland it is safe to ignore. Admit nothing. You father will get more letters which will threaten a lot but in reality the PPC scum can do nothing.0

Thanks Browntoa. You mention POPLA - I was under the impression that this didn't apply in Scotland due to not having any trespass law?0

Correct no POPLA in Scotland.
Just make sure your father does not respond in anyway to the letters.0 -

Scotland is covered in the sticky:
Sticky: NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? EVEN AN OLD ONE? ***READ THIS FIRST*** Thankyou!
So if you want to read other cases like your just search this forum for 'CP Plus Scotland' as keywords. Hope Dad knows the score about the typical debt collector junk mail to ignore - see another sticky called 'PPC letter chains' and within it, click on the OLD pre-Oct 2012 letter chains thread link by Crabman, as that has some good working links to letters by debt collectors still pretty much unchanged now.
Please...no need for a panicked update every time a new letter arrives! That's why we suggest you look at the letter chains link and be prepared by other threads like your own.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
