Dogs and Grow-Your-Own
Hello all,
I wonder if you could give me a few ideas for my friend at work. She is looking at growing salad and veg this year (and is going to inquire about an allotment) But in the mean time her Husband has made window boxes and troughs/planters for veg.
However, they have a dog so want to make things dog proof. We don't have pets and never have had, so I can't offer any advise.
She said that she would like to grow lettuce but the dog would use it as a football
Thanks.

Train the dog. When younger my dad trained the dog not to cross a crack/line between the driveway/pavement.
Only took a couple of days and he soon got the jist that crossing the line meant he got shouted at and taken inside.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
As forgotmyname says, these people have two options:
1. train the dog to stay away from growing areas
2. give in
It's that simple.
Dogs are pack animals and respect those who give them guidance and leadership. They are happiest when given limits. (Just like children.)
