Hi
This is my 1st post! I received a private parking ticket whilst parked in my resident parking car park. I displayed the permit and it honestly fell off the windowscreen!
I appealed and they refused to waiver the fee. So in the leter it gave intructions to apply online with POPLO, which I have done today. Than I decided to google appealing private car park fines and found this wonderful, informative forum!!!
What are my chances of POPLO waivering this fee, as I honestly cannot afford to pay £60. What are my options?
Many thanks

You can update your appeal at any time until it is heard. With that appeal you will lose. Read the newbie thread then post your updated appeal here for comment. Also tell us the PPCs and the signage.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0

And it is POPLA not POPLO.0

Yes you must update your appeal as you will loose other wise. They dont do mitigation. You can email your updateProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0

YOU WILL LOSE at POPLA if you leave your appeal as you did (no doubt you talked about the permit and showed a copy of it?). That will lose because POPLA does NOT take 'mitigating circumstances' into account (which you would have read a little bit about on the POPLA website).
YOU WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY WIN at POPLA if you simply email the right 'additional information' to POPLA to urgently add to your case (quickly, and obvs quoting the 10 digit code again). Copy the main points from the examples in 'How to win at POPLA' a hyperlink in post #3 of the sticky thread just linked by pogofish - though to be fair you needed no link really, as it's one of the 'stickies' (Notices stuck to the top) for newbies to read first.
So read the examples and learn about 'no GPEOL' and 'no standing/contract' (all acronyms are explained already in that sticky thread for newbies to read first).
Which PPC was this and can you show us a broken link to the sign (remove the http:// and put a gap in the URL of where the photo is hosted on tinypic or photobucket). Newbies can't post working links.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
