Flybe new customer offer

I've been looking for a flight to alicante for a mate's stag weekend and was stoked to see the link on MSE to the free flights on any European route offer when you open a flybe credit card. I was even happier to follow the link and find there was also a 12 month 0% balance transfer offer.
I've been accepted so was looking forward to joining the stag party on the cheap and wanted to come on here praising MSE once again. Gutted to read the flybe small print again and find that the free flights don't include Spain, Portugal or Croatia!!
I followed an MSE advert without following its own advice to always check and recheck the small print!! I now have to find the cost of a flight to Spain whilst having a free flight I probably won't use.
Can MSE correct its advert from 'all routes' to 'some routes' please !! Cheers

And the chances of you getting that free flight on the date of the stag night if flybe did fly there would be virtually zero.
Also flights to Spain are peanuts anyway."You know when it's cold outside when you go outside and it's cold"0 -
An additional point: for all Flybe flights you pay both the air fare and various charges. You still pay charges for the "free" flights, and they are significantly higher than when you are paying a fare... as a result, a "free" flight actually costs more than the other kind!
Anyway, both Ryanair and BA (via an agency called Budget Air) offer very affordable flights to Spain, so long as you can manage with just hand luggage.
Flybe is fine for business travel, when someone else is paying, but otherwise I would not use them.0 -
Like many similar schemes they can work but you've got to learn the game and play by their rules.
My missus flies with them regularly and they are fine and we've taken advantage of the frequent flier scheme a couple of times, mind you I don't think she managed to use her free flight voucher in any case.
The scheme in terms of points works ok if you book a little ahead and try and get their flexible fare, which costs less in taxes than the mid price far apparently.
We've been to barra and milan and it was fine and relatively cheap but not free. However their fully flexible fares are ridiculous, over £500 for many European destinations so you could, say you saved nearly a grand, not that anyone would pay that much for the trip anyway.0 -

I've flown from Southampton to Alicante with them and found them to be excellent. I paid my own way too !0
