Of this 40 million complaints I wonder how many have substance and merit to it.

How many millions of legitmate complaints did consumers not follow through with as they knew that in " The customer is always wrong UK " nothing would be done about them ?

complained to o2 last year about their mid contract price rises.

as predicted they questioned the "material detriment" to me.

asked for the deadlock letter to take it to the ombudsman.

    reffered it to the ombudsman

    never heard anything after that.

chased it up and it turned out they just ignored my complain as they deemed it to be only a small amout of "material detriment"

but they didnt have the decency to even let me know.

so even the ombudsman can be useless too.

My experience of Ombudsman Services was not positive - the letters they sent indicated they either didn't properly read or didn't understand what they had been sent, their explanation of the legal points was at odds with legal advice received from solicitors, and the letters they sent had sufficient spelling and grammar mistakes to render parts at best ambiguous.
