I've had some of my best holidays ever in Goa. I've been there many times in the past, admittedly not for the last 7 years.
Have they been far before? Where would they normally choose to holiday? What sort of things do they like to do?
I'm sure others who've been more recently will put me right, but the last time I went it was pretty much South Goa for large all inclusive resorts and North Goa for smaller properties, but it was becoming a bit like 1980s Benidorm so we stopped going, other than to pass through on the way to another location in India. Plus we have friends who live there.
Goa isn't that big and it's fairly easy getting around, plus it's a good base to go off for a few days, perhaps by air, somewhere else, eg: Taj Mahal, Rajasthan, Mumbai etc.0 -
are they looking at going now? I assume they realise they have to get a visa before travel? Great place but been some time since I've been so won't give any advice.weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0

I would suggest they check out the Goa board on Tripadvisor (or you do it for them) and explain what sort of things they like/expect from a holiday.
I'm sure they'll get lots of good advice.
Goa is a bit like Marmite - some people love it, some hate it - so it's essential to do a lot of research before booking.
Also check out the visa situation.
It's not the easiest of processes and isn't instant, you have to do your application on-line, print it off and send with all relevant documentation (including passport) or take it in person to one of the VFS processing centres.
There's also another thread about Goa that I replied to this morning, maybe check the information given on that too.0
