Asda parking fine Smart Parking- Not!!!

I hope someone can help explain as to what to do I have received 2 smart parking "fines" in the last 2 weeks! The first one I paid £40 not having seen all the discussion on here! but I really cant afford to pay again and having read on threads on this site I SHOULDN'T PAY either!!!! please can some one explain in simple terms what to do as I am getting confused by see previous thread see thread xxx etc
