Hunt for Cheapest Sat Nav Solution

I am currently looking for a cheap satellite navigation solution for my car. My preference is a PDA with GPS so I am asking for your help in finding the best\cheapest one to get.

heres what I've found so far

Dell Axim x30 inc tomtom £361.00 from Dell online
Medion PNA 100 £349.99 from Halfords.com
MEDION MD40600 £299.99 from dixons online refurbished
hp 2210 plus tomtom £399.00 dixons online
ACER n35 £249.99 from comet online
medion md 40600 £249.99 pc world refurb

So currently in th lead is the Medion MD40600 from PC world at £249.99, can you beat that.

Cheers for your help.

  • Don't have any links to hand at the moment, so I can't give you any prices - but, if you were in the market for a mobile phone aswell, you could look at something like the o2 XDA. Then get the add-ons for GPS and buy the tomtom stuff (ebay usually good).

Dare say that would work out cheaper than £250, but I'm sure someone else will have more info or suggestions.

    Again mobile based:

A free orange SPV C500 (subject to contract) and TomTom Mobile (approx £160)

  • Yup, in fact there are a few deals going on the SPV C500 - including one where you get one on PAYG free with one free on contract (details )

I'd go for the Acer if I was you. Got the GPS sensor and its got bluetooth too so I have been told), you can use it for surfing the net on the go with a suitable mobile phone. It looks good too. I paid double for a super dooper HP IPAQ with sat nav as I needed one in a rush. The Tom Tom Sat Nav is excellent and the PDA does loads of stuff, the best of which is the net surfing
