I'm certain there are plenty of examples where FOS have relaxed the referral time (with good reason, I expect) just as there will be a similar number where FOS have applied the time limit rigorously.

Neither helps the OP, of course, who has already been rejected and had a weak case anyhow.

It is up to the company being complained about if they wish the FOS to enforce the timebar
