Reclaiming PPI myself

Hi all, im sure this has probably been asked already, I contacted Black Horse Finance to see if I had PPI on a loan I had with them a few years ago, I was told I didn't have it, but my question is how do I know they are not just saying that so they don't have to pay out, I ask because a few days later the Lloyds group announced they had set aside a lot more money for ppi payouts.
Cheers Kerry

They don't have to provide proof, but if you don't trust them to give you an honest answer then send them a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter.my question is how do I know they are not just saying that

That wont be down to your phone call though.
If you dont believe them then spend £10 and do a data subject access request.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
