Having big problems with xbox live

In short there was an unauthorised amount taken from my bank account. It supposidly related to my son purchasing a game at 3.30 in the morning on a school night. The game is not on his xbox and not waiting to be downloaded. I immediately change password on account.

I phone microsoft. They inform me this needs to be escalated and the account needs suspended until it is resolved. Fair enough. How long will this take 2 days.

I phone a couple of days later. Its been escalated oh but these things take 5 working days to be resolved. Definately no longer than that.

I phone after 5 working days to be told they I will be phoned that evening as its "on the list". No phone call. I phone again. Oh its 6 working days (which conviently makes it the Monday). I phone on the Monday oh its 10 working days.

I am fed up being lied to time and time again. Its been escaled to an area that apparently nobody I phone is allowed to contact and I have to wait. I have no idea how to get this resolved.

You get in touch with your bank and tell them that an unauthorised payment has been made and you want the money back in your account.
    It's someone else's fault.

The bank will do a chargeback and your sons xbox live account will remain permanently suspended.

Failing that, let Microsoft investigate the fraud their end.

I was aware of the bank route but for the reasons stated wanted to avoid it. The amount of money involved is minimal, its the neverending nature of their investigation and the misinformation from customer services which is doing my head in.

    Excellent outcome then ;)
