What happens if...

I'm looking to book two hotels through Booking.com.

I'm just wondering, if the hotels were to close down for whatever reason, or if Booking.com went bust, would I get my money back? Is that something which Booking.com would do?

Have never used Booking.com but just pay at least part of the cost with a credit card (assuming that you are paying over £100 in total). Then the credit card company has to refund you.

Are you prepaying the rooms? I thought booking.com was mainly pay on checkout - though some hotels do give discount for prepaid deals.

Agents make S75 claims more complicated but your travel insurance would cover the companies going bust

booking.com don't take payments, you always pay the hotel direct. The booking terms vary and are down to the hotel, sometimes pre-pay, sometimes on arrival, sometimes on departure.
