Parking Charge notice but no ticket??

Hi
I have recieved a 'parking charge notice reminder' from a private parking company (mentioned many, many times on this forum) advising me to pay £100 (they have given me 24hrs notice from recieving the letter to pay £60)! The letter starts "Further to the recent Parking Charge Notice, this parking charge remains outstanding ........" This is the first notification I have recieved from them and no ticket was left on the vehicle in question.

I no longer even own this vehicle! Do I respond or ignore??
thanks

You MUST respond, do NOT ignore, it won't go away.

Please follow the advice and process given in the following link.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Thank you for the advice. I have spoken to the hotel who use this parking company and they have confirmed that I was able to use their car park free of charge as a customer of the hotel and have sent me writen confimation of this. I have posted this to the parking company. Fingers crossed!

Sounds like a good start, come back if you get a rejection letter as we can help you win at POPLA if this was England/Wales. You need certain wording about loss and standing.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
