Sorry you took my posts like that, it was certainly not intended, certainly not sarcastic (I HATE sarcasm) I was merely trying to understand.
I really thought I was helping; obviously I know nothing about this board (or wannabee bankrupts).
This is the second time I've come on here and got told off....obviously this is outside my experience.
I sincerely apologise if I have upset anyone.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

hi, just thought i'd give you a bit of an update!
went to CAB and spoke to their expert, she straight away said bankruptcy was my best option.
sent off for forms at coventry county court, she said they are nice and friendly there, and most people from my town will go there rather than leicester (even tho i'm in leicestershire!)
i've sent for them today.
she advised me to stop spending on credit cards and stop all my "non priority" payments.
to get the fee she has said to use the money i've saved from not paying loans etc for it, or get it off credit cards but be aware i will have bru/bro put on me if i do that.
that was about 3 weeks ago and she was going away on holiday but when she gets back i need to get back to her with the forms, soa etc to check over.
she said because of my low income i will not to pay a contribution.
i am in process of changing dd's wages etc into wifes bank, gas and lecky is going onto card meters as edf have told me it is the same price. either way it cuts down my direct debits! i'll know where i stand anyway.
i've got to say it has freed up money now i'm not paying out £250 odd towards debts, and we can actually afford shopping etc now.
one thing that did happen though was our fridge freezer packed in and leaked everywhere and all the food went off, so i bought one on cc.
at the end of the day i thought if i got bru i had no other option as i could not store kids milk, food etc and didnt have money available for that.
just praying the washer dryer doesnt break now as the wife is saying thats on the blink!
I dont know its one thing after the other, i'll come out of it at the end though!!
cheers everyone i'll let you know how i get on!!0 -

Hi Adam,
Was going to tell you go down to your CAB but you already have.
So many folk are going bankrupt or going to Debt Management Companies without seeing CAB first. Considering CAB offer a really professional free, impartial and confidential service as they a charitable organisation, I would go there first any day.
Good Luck0 -
Hi Staffsandra
do you work for the CAB - good as they are, you do seem to be plugging them a lot.BCSC Member 70:j

Sounds as though you're getting some pretty good advice from CAB. Keep posting and good luck.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

CAB were pretty useless in my area. Couldn't get hold of them, then took weeks for an appointment, in my opinion CCCS were much quicker and much more professional.
I used the CAB recently for 2 other issues, one regarding my special needs son, have to say that when I finally got hold of someone, they were very nice, but fairly useless. Got a lot more out of the interent and on here.
I am sure others have better luck in their areas, but to be honest the cAB in this area were not much help at all.
Dappanumber1 great to see you back!:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -

I believe she does, NZ, but surely that is a good thing and can only help this board? We already have two members of CCCS, who are helping people, and I feel that the presence of members of these charitable organisations adds more credibility to this forum.
I would also like to see someone from National Debtline, Payplan and Christians against Debt - they would be more than welcome.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I am sorry, !!!!!!? There is a christian group against debt? Is even debt religious now?
Totally agree about the CAB being on board. She should introduce herself and let us know what to expect from our CAB. I had a fairly negative experience, but others have not, and it would be good to have a voice letting us know what help they are there to provide.:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -
