Marriage Value - have I got this right?

Anyone??? I'm being presurised to say exactly how much I want to change my offer by.

    its invaluable to your kind of query, but essentially the marriage value is the increase in property value that would occur if the lease were reverted to the full 99 years, of which the landlord is entitled to 50% .

    I'm sure if the freeholder already gave you a price then that's the price you'll be paying. The other leaseholder has the right to purchase the freehold at the 80+ years level if his application to freeholder was made before the lease length dropped to below 80yrs.

    Remember the freeholder would have been aware of the marriage value aspect & if he was interested in trying to hold out for a short time untill the lease went to 79yrs then he surely would have used some delaying tactics.
    The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

    I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
