BACS wages,new account question

The process that is uses for account switching looks only at the outgoing mandates on the account. The bank can also contact your employer to facilitate switching the salary payment.

However, you say you are a sub-contractor. Does this mean you raise invoices to get payment; i.e. you dont gat a "salary"? If so then you will need a business account and presumably you have applied for that.
