printing on card

do I need a special sort of printer to print on card? or can I just use my normal printer? any help would be much appreciated thanks

  • I don't think you really need any special printer for that. You just use better art supplies which helps alot to make a beautiful print on card.
  • Not a special printer but most printers will not take very thick card. If you are buying a printer especially for printing card make sure it feeds the paper/card through horizontally - some printers flip the paper/card over as it travels through, thicker card doesn't bend so easily and can jam in the machine.
    Use your stuff challenge 50/50
  • I would never use a front - feed printer, if you have a printer with a hopper on the back chances are it will take thicker card....

  • I would never have another Epsom printer in the house!! I bought one once and it never printed properly unless I took it to the repair centre, then it printed perfectly!! I have a HP 1050a at the minute with a rear paper feed that will print on 300 gsm easily!!
