replacement sealed unit for upvc window

i want to replace the sealed glass unit in some of my upvc windows. I dont need the plastic bit, just the sealed glass bit. Where would i best looking for both price and quality and has anyone one any general advice on this subject

Don't know where you live, but the cheapest way to do it if you can fit them yourself would be check out a couple of local window companies and ask one of their installers where they buy their sealed units from. If it's close by, go direct, it'll cost you half the price of buying from the window company.
If you can't install yourself, again ask an installer if he can do it for you.
Other than that devious cheap way, check yellow pages for sealed unit manufacturers.
Don't forget when measuring that as well as height and width, you need the thickness of the unit.
One last thing, if the unit is less than five years old, try and find out who made them and ask them to replace them, most units have at least a five year guarantee.

If you don't want to do it yourself there are often people advertising in the local papers as "window medics" or window repairers. My local council does a quartly magazine and has 2 adverts for firms that specialise in replacing just the sealed units.
