Lloyds stop sending statements for Chidren's Account

My 15 year old received a statement today on his under 19 account which said that Lloyds are moving to a quarterly statement. Their terms and conditions (5.1) say that they will make a statement available electronically every month. However under 16s are not allowed internet banking.

I called them and they said I needed to go to a Branch and get it changed. I then raised a complaint and they eventually said that they would change it for me.

However be aware that the T&Cs don't let them do this. You can also quote section 5.3 which says that you can ask for a paper statement, but it doesn't say it has to be in the past - so you can ask for it for all future statements - I did.

What a load of trouble to save a few pennies on a statement.
