they're both clever :D......just in different ways.

DS2 is the autistic one, yes. he thought I was talking about a cigarette, which sounds similar to cassette I suppose :D:rotfl:
    :rotfl:
I've still got one of my old cassette players and loads of tapes. Daren't play them for fear of shredding/knotting

This also sparked a memory in me of my dad showing the kids an old BT phone with a dial that he found and all 3 kids tapping at it with their little fingers trying to figure how it worked :D :rotfl::rotfl: it was a red phone....I seem to remember you had to pay extra for a coloured one? :rotfl:

we had a red one and a cream one when I was younger, those were the days :)
How many ops r sober tonight?

    I'm saying nowt :)

Oh yes....phone cards. Some were highly collectible.

Ive had a conversation with my OH tonight where we've decided we have no earthly idea where DS1s talent has originated :o he is attending Liverpool Institute for performing arts and is doing amazingly well. He has just taken part in his first performance and 'stormed it' :D:T he has reached a high enough level on his instruments and performance to teach music if he so chooses (and passes his degree and does a years teaching) So obviously genes have nothing to do with it :o

........he still wants to join the army

They were weren't they?:) Wish I'd have collected some!

Hair gel would just make the top of his head go shiny. :rotfl: Straw might be bit of an improvement. :T

So I just need to do my usual make up job then and borrow DD3s boots. :D

You just need a bonnet, red spots and those eyelashes :D

    Pay £2.50, get £2.50 back :)

My idea of a good deal. Except that you'd think they could up the amount back a bit? I wish every product available had this deal:D:rotfl::rotfl:.

"Pay £2.50, get £2.50 back" - much better than "Buy one, get one free" in my view (in fact, as you know, I'd now put quotations around that final word, since you have to buy and pay for something in order to get it, it's not completely free!).

Yes! our resident collection expert may be able to confirm? (snap :D) but yes, I'm sure certain designs were collectible

I've got a few Chinese ones that I managed to find in a phone box over several months. I managed a betting shop a few years back and had a few Chinese customers. I assumed they were theirs.
someone in the army brought me one back from Canada, it has a Mountie on it.
I trhink we've got in total over 200, gathered and gleaned from various sources :)

  • I have been sober for 3 weeks due to going to aa meetings every day after the m&s vouchers and drinking to much wine and after tonights meeting i began to wonder if i had a problem?
I watched the Bill W film last night and realised i was never as bad as that and tonight the meeting showed a video about it being an illness and that you must have the next drink after the first. This is not the case with me and i said so in the group. The person chairing the meeting said go and have a drink in a pub and a few beers at home and test yourself and i'm doing so now.
oVER THE LAST 3 WEEKS I HAVE BEEN HEARING ABOUT the HIGHER POWER AND AM JUST NOT GETTING IT SO AM ALL CONFUSED HERE SITTING WITH 8 NORMAL CANS OF LAGER AND SEE HOW I GO
Sorry forgot to take the caps lock off and can't be ars88d typying it all again.
