My local has them at the tills and I did check the sel, it does infact read that a box of 24 is £1. Couldn't give it a go as 'party popper' was with me

Yes it does indeed say a box is £1...but where I came a little unstuck was the fact that the box I tried to buy didnt contain 24 only 22 so thats where the manager said he was withdrawing the "opened box" from sale....
Individually the items go through the till at £1 and the barcode on the box comes up unrecognised....my main problem was that there wasnt a complete box to purchase else I would have pushed the issue harder!

Fourp is obsessed with chucking out mats & rugs.

To air....... then 'forgets' them & it rains & I have a garden covered in soggy ruined mats

My lovely big Ikea wiping feet mat went out yesterday whilst the carpet was steam cleaned..... now he says it smells & it's joined the rest

So we are off to buy more mats :( to carpet the garden

Possible. He has a Morrisons and a Sainsburys but mostly he hangs out in Aldi.
Amazon gift card is a possibility though.
No cinema for about 50 miles though.
I did wonder about a local gym membership but he is a 10 mile round trip from the nearest town and he didn't even have gym membership when he lived at home. Even in the worst of weather he prefers to be out and about.
He does go bouldering a lot but not at the same places

I would have got DS an Amazon voucher but he would have had to post his buys to my address.

His address got pigeon holes ? and the lock is broke plus he says large items wont fit.

Remembered it wasn't cinema giftcard it was a ticketmaster one he's always going to gigs not concerts lol.

Now I am in a panic.

Youngest son just rang and he says he is coming home for a few days on Sunday :T - first time since Christmas.

He is going to have to sleep in eldest daughters room as his room is in mid conversion - most of upstairs is not fit for humans really :D

Its his birthday on Sunday and we put his cards in the post yesterday as we assumed he would not be home.

Presents are a big problem - he has got himself a new watch and we have said we would pay for it so we need to give him a cheque - this might be a struggle as he is insisting that he pays half for it. He is on a very low wage but even so he really hates accepting money off us.

I am thinking that if he is here on Monday we can go to Liverpool and we can have coffee and cake and we can get him a suit for when we got to St James palace in March.

So that leaves Sunday and we don't have a single thing to give him to actually open on the day apart from a book.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

He is 22 and very much an outdoor person but he has got every single bit of equipment that is it possible to have for all of his various activities. I got him mag subs at Christmas

He has a new laptop and all of the technology he needs.
    Really stuck

What about something to go with the suit? Will he need to buy a tie or something for example? Then you could add a card to symbolise the suit? It sounds as if you have already got him his presents and you really just want something to make Sunday a bit special. You could also do a sort of pass the parcel type thing with different things in different layers, like a giftcard as others have suggested or a bar of choc, or nuts -- just interesting bits. I'm not suggesting you actually play pass the parcel, by the way!
