I switched to BT for the sport, especially soccer.
He is an old stickler, having said that, he did ring Sky last year and got a reduction. Half price for 6 months, took me ages to get him to call them.
BT he may be interested in, though there again, he knows they exist. There again, it is me that moans about the cost of the bleddy thing not him, he just pays up.There's no place like home

The Victoria on Hollinwood Avenue is nice but I'm not sure of prices or I have stopped at Smokies near Ashton (think it's a Best Western) which again is nice. There are a few local owned hotels in and around Saddleworth as well.
Bubbs thank you and yes I have just asked Dad and he said he thinks it was Travellers Inn not travel lodge. xxxx

BT have very ambitious plans to be the number 1 sports provider in the UK and they are going at it very fast. They have more LIVE football/rugby/motor sport/tennis than Sky and will soon start live coverage of MotoGP. Then there's ESPN, the huge US network which BT purchased and constantly show live Baseball/basketball/college football/NHRA racing/NASCAR.
I changed recently and am surprised at just how good it is. The offer of £150 cashback and a £100 Sainnsburys gift card helped a little0 -
