good morning hope the elite are well

very sad news to post this morning my dd1 and her partner had a baby girl, she survived barely an hour,
they found out on friday that the baby had Edwards syndrome and could not decide what to do next but the decision was taken out of their hands when she went into labour. Its hard to find the right words to say to them i think alls we can do is be there for them.

rhosy, my heart goes out to them and you.

Yes but you have to pay for sky don t you. In the couple of years I've had sky it's gone up from £21 to £24.50 just for the basic package. I m thinking of cancelling and getting one of the humax boxes or similar if I can work out how to do it and what programmes you get.

    Good morning everyone :D

There used to be a really good Digital TV forum on MSE (I'm not sure where it is with the recent "tidying, possibly renamed TV moneysaving.)
If you have a sky box, you can buy a Humax freesat box and plug it in using pretty much the same connections. If you have two cables from the dish to your sky box, it's very easy, if you only have one it's a bit more involved.
Take a look at the channels here
The older Humax freesat boxes have iPlayer and itv player through your internet connection, I think the new ones have full catch up using "freetime"

    Good afternoon Elite

Late start to the day for me as didn't sleep well. When I did get up, found a note from ds3. He had done my shopping online , as he put it. So off to pick up now. Fish for tea tonight.

Sorry, ds3 is skiing. Ds4 did my shopping.

Thanks for the heads up on the Gillette Chrisv.:T

A word of warning to anyone else trying.. Don't be a numpty like me and make the basic schoolboy error of buying more than 2. Only buy 2 on each shop, no more, no less, otherwise this might happen..

    1 x ASDA Protect Extreme Fresh Mouthwash (500ml) £1.48 £0.60
    4 x Gillette Series Gel Conditioning (200ml) £7.98 £7.00

I feel like a complete amateur. Anyone would think I hadn't been doing this for long:rotfl::rotfl:

Don't put yourself down SFSB as your not an amateur:)

Your a muppet:p:D and let me put you down:rotfl::rotfl:

Is there a benefit to this because I can t see it lol. Why not just get them from Tesco in the first place.

Sainbobs may be more local to the OP?
or they may have Conditional spends to use?
It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

I never take stuff back, if I screw up- its my fault.
Just makes me more determined to get it right, if the gels go wrong its not too bad a price, I'll hope someone test in the morning and go get six more, but in seperate shops of two.
The burgers I "lost" on last week for instance, probably eight shops before and three since, so on average - no problem.

I totally agree with you:T if I mess up I take it on the chin and get it right next time :T:cool:
