I slow-cooker stewed mine (easier to store in freezer like that), got into a routine of up early Sat morning, stuck some suitable apple-stewing music on, lots of coring/peeling/slicing then into the slow cooker and left it to work its magic. Got a bit bored of the peeling after a while, but it's well worth it now. Gotta love free food:T
We got an allotment last year well i say allotment i mean jungle .underneath all the growthit has rhubarb , gooseberrys, raspberries and blackberries and I think black currants ( not sure though) and we traded a lot of this for apples and tomatoes and cause it was in such a bad way we don't have to pay for it till this year so we had lots of good free food last year
Ill see if I can add a pic to this post in a bit.
I need to find the allotment thread and will have to do a lot of googling cause I haven't got a clue what to plant and when:oOne cannot change the past, but one can ruin the present by worrying over the future.0 -
