We have an orchard at work (how posh is that?:)) - mainly apples, some pears. The staff are welcome to help themselves to as much windfall fruit as they want ... so I do. I was bringing home 3 or 4 bags a day for a while. Added up in total to 14 kilos. I slow-cooker stewed mine (easier to store in freezer like that), got into a routine of up early Sat morning, stuck some suitable apple-stewing music on, lots of coring/peeling/slicing then into the slow cooker and left it to work its magic. Got a bit bored of the peeling after a while, but it's well worth it now. Gotta love free food:T'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Well, I must say that 2002 fizz is rather nice. Cheers David.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
