Thats potentially 2 insurance claims in as many weeks...one on the house and one on the car...both weather related.

Why would you claim on the car insurance ? Claim on the hotels insurance.

last year after only making one smallish claim in 20 years I had another £500 voluntary excess added. so its not worth me claiming either. mind you for what I can do and get a mate to do, it should cost me less than £200.
for my mindset, its not worth claiming in the long run for things that cost less than £1000. as the cheaper insurance because of voluntary excess and no claims discount outweigh the claim.
of course I thought it would not happen to me
but I would still go my way again. but I am quite a handyman and cringed when the claim I did make for a new kitchen laminate floor came to £1100. when I even told in insurance peeps that I could do it for less than £200. but they would not let me even though they inspected it and paid for it to be done.

Morning everyone.Hope you are all ok after the bad weather.Went to 2 Ts looking for the 20 meal deal.Mine only did the 10 ones,wanted the prosecco so didn't bother.Too late to mess about so had burgers with mexican wedges mushrooms and peas.Oh and wine of course.Hubs enjoyed it anyway.Will do something good for dinner today.Off to Lidl now to look for the cheap rice.Love to all.
