She has reviewed my medications, reassured me I am not completely mad and deluded as well as offering me a place on a "living well with pain" ten week course.
Unfortunately I had to stop the course after two weeks as my mum was very poorly but I am due to start again in the summer. It is based on mindfulness and even the two sessions have made a bit of a difference. It's run by occupational therapists and physios. It was also great to talk to people in a similar situation who understand how isolating pain can be.
PM if you would like any more info
Thanks for this.....
I feel sometimes that people don't have any idea about the pain I am in as there are no outside visible signs.....
You have made me feel better about asking the doc to refer me.0 -

one of my own, my son is doing work on green issues and recycling at school and in a test he was asked to list some of the cleverest ways to recycle, he put " Mums friends have taught her to recycle money by continuously using the same payment to get more and more shopping, then she recycles the shopping as gifts":rotfl::rotfl:

ooh, me toothough i am stocked up. reckon it will take me at least 6 weeks to run the extra freezer down..... just in time for free pizza's in March :rotfl::T
One thing i've been doing recently is a weekly meal planner. It's a brilliant way on knowing what I'm doing, what meat to take out, not wasting any fruit or veg etc AND spending very little money. Takes two mins to do once a week and makes you want to cook things a bit more adventurous instead of sticking to the same things.Tiger

tigerwhite wrote: »Remember someone posted on the last thread about signing up to lotto 24 and getting a free oral B 'leccy toothbrush. well don't do it.
I signed up, paid £1 then it emailed and said they needed ID (copies of my passport/driving license etc and some other things). Obviously that wasn't happening. So i emailed them and cancelled straight away. I did ask for my £1 back, as per "long distance selling rules" and changing my mind (I was guessing on terminology:p). They said no, as i could have played games/bingo etc straight away after joining. Boooooooooto lotto 24.Avoid like the plague
glad i didn't do this when i noticed their pages didn't have the security padlock on them

But I am feeling really chuffed :j that I helped feed loads of families for tea one night. After all the help I receive and received. I know for some its fun but for others will be a real treat,
Keep up the good work Elite what a team
Everyone who won should agree to have the pizza on the same day - call it Bananababe Day or Banana Pizza Night or Yes We Have Some Bananas, or something:)
Over to you, Bananababe - you can name the day ... fingers crossed it's your birthday soon, that would be the perfect day'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'
