Balance Transfer Query

Hi,
Quick question.
We want to transfer a small balance on to our new credit card which has 0% on balance transfers.
If we then use the new card for purchases (which doesn't have 0% on purchases unless over £200) , will the balance transfer attract interest?
Sorry if this is a silly question, not done it before.
