car insurance for leased car

Hi,
I lease a car and I am renewin my insurance. Someone flagged up that I might need an insurance company which deals specifically with lease cars. I rang up a broker but they were charging nearly 200 pounds more than an online insurance quote. The company they said the quote was from Aviva.Does anyone know if there are any issues I should look out when insuring a lease car?

Many thanks

  • You need to simply declare the owner and keeper correctly. Some insurers dont like lease vehicles but many do. Strangely more are comfortable with it over the phone than they are on their websites.

It may not be straightforward to insure online, but you will have no problem getting cover.

If online proves difficult, either phone direct or see a local broker (not swinton)
