Little Sewing Project - Noseband Protectors for Donkeys and Horses

Options
Hello Everyone,

I saw a little project that the WSPA are running again - sewing nose-band protectors for donkeys and horses in the Middle East and immediately thought of all you crafty people on here!

Here is the link to the instructions and the address to send completed nose-band protectors:

Just thought I'd share in case any of you would be interested because its such a worthwhile project and looks easy enough for even me to attempt!!

Sarah :)

Why? That implies crafting folk don't want to help a charity! I bet someone will sew a few.

I need to search my stash to see if there are any pieces of fur fabric 11 x 4"

I'm with katiehound this is probably the best place for this appeal. I don't think I've got any fun fur but I've loads of fleece, if I did a double thickness then that should be okay. One thing to watch is what way you put the Velcro on, I learned this the hard way as when I first made dog coats if the harder part of the Velcro is on the underside and the Velcro doesn't close right then the animal might be irritated by the rough side of the Velcro, sorry if I'm saying something you all already know :o.
