Still looking for a printer Saw an article and then checked it out. I note that you pay a monthly fee for so many prints per month and the ink is then sent to replace the ink before it runs out. At the lower end you can have a contract for under £2 per month Any pages you don't use can be added to the following month but you can not carry over more than 500 pages in any month.
Due to the cost of ink it seems to me that to pay a small amount per month might suit me. Currently they have only 2 printers which can accept this type of contract.
You can not use the ink on another printer. The first charge is made once the first set of inks are needed. It is linked up online so that they can automatically moniter your requirement for ink. Does this sound like a good idea or not. I use printing sparingly but reckon when using printers my need clean print heads uses up massive use of ink and that is what is pulling me towards this. Any view would be appreciated.

So you print nothing this month and still have to replace them? But next month you need to print a lot but cannot becuase you ran out of ink 3 weeks early?
When you do a headclean your wasting ink. It has to go somewhere. And thats inside the machine down a little tube to the inkpads. After so many cycles it will need a service to replace those and reset the counter.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
don't print, save - http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp
how many black and white pages do you NEED to print per year
how many colour pages do you NEED to print per year
how many pages does a £80-£100 colour laser or £40+ b&w laser with a starter toner yield
compared to £50-£93 for an hp envy printer + £2 upwards/month for ink along with inkjet/software/CC/postal hassles
