Very simple.
You eat less and move more. Cut out the sugar and you will lose weight.
If you believe the tablets route you are wasting your money.
Oh and this will help with your acne problem you posted on.0 -

How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Don't waste money on pills. I lost over four stone in nine months by giving up wheat, rye, barley & oats and counting calories for the first couple of months or so. That's no bread, no buns, no cake, no pizza, no pasta etc. By not having bread etc, you'll also cut out jam and other sugary stuff. I also stopped eating processed foods apart from the occasional treat of salami. If you search Paleo or Primal diet you'll find some good information. One of the benefits is that by burning fat instead of carbs/sugar for energy one doesn't get so hungry. Another bonus is I do not get bad colds or any virus type illnesses these days.billmeon244 wrote: »I want to lose my weight so please suggest me best healthy diet and exercise plan which will help me to lose weight fast or if any pills are beneficial for this then please suggest this also.
Exercise:- Doing a lot of jogging, rowing or whatever just makes me hungry so I looked for something else. High intensity short duration exercise has all the benefits but doesn't take ages or make me hungry. Recommendations are sprinting/rowing/cycling flat out for 20-30 seconds the repeating this three or more times and doing two or three sessions a week. Next is strength training. Muscle uses more calories to maintain than fat to build some muscle. Again, short intense workouts are beneficial. I stick to body weight as one doesn't need any equipment or special clothing. I do press ups, squats, plank/sit ups, back bridging and dips between chairs. Roughly ten to fifteen minutes a session and three sessions a week.
Treats are essential in my view. I therefore have a 25gramme piece of 70% cocoa solid chocolate every day and drink wine three days a week. All included in my daily calorie allowance.
All that works for me and I suggest you try stuff and see what you feel best doing. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

NigeWick. That sounds good for you but to me the food plan sounds horrible! Everyone's different though, I've tried to cut back carbs and when I cut them out a lot it just makes me tired with no energy. The trick is to have healthy carbs, wholegrains not white carbs. I'm also trying to lose weight with a plan that I can stick to for life, so having NO pasta or NO bread doesn't seem viable to me. I'm just cutting way back on them. Instead of having pasta once or twice a week I have it every couple of weeks instead. Same with rice. I've never been a big bread eater anyway
OP. Losing weight fast isn't the best idea in the world, aim to lose a pound a week (more if you're really overweight) using a regime that you can stick to. I concur with NigeWick about the exercise, weight exercises will help you as well as cardio.
Scales do help to indicate how well you do, but if you're building any muscle you're better relying on the tape measure and your clothing as a guide to if you're losing weight.0 -
Essentially all you need to do is reduce the calories in and burn a few more. Works for me to cut down on carbs and cut out rubbish food apart from the odd treat. Find things you will enjoy eating for meals and have lots of veg. Try My Fitness pal website to see how many cals you should be eating and what food is worth. First week or two is a bit of work to sort out meals but after that is easy. Measure yourself as well as weigh as very often it is inches rather than pounds which you will notice more."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

I actually eat more of the healthy stuff, not less.0 -
I actually believe strongly that lifting weights, heavy ones is a very good idea when doing exercise. I do bodyweight exercises, but I also lift weights as well.
There is no one size fits all when it comes to diet and exercise. Forget pills and shakes, you want to make it a lifestyle choice and not a quick fix.0 -

You're correct......the more lean muscle someone has, the more calories they burn, even while sitting still.
If you want to look better and feel better then weight training is a must, especially if you're over 35, much easier on the joints than running.
If you just want to feel better then you could just stick to cardio.
Next time you watch the London or New York marathon you'll see plenty of overweight people at the starting line, because doing cardio and only cardio isn't a very good fat burner. Very good for the heart and lungs though. We’ve had to remove your signature. I massively agree with the my fitness pal idea someone posted above. It really helped me think about calories per day but didn't stop me eating nice foods. I also buy slim fast drums as they can give you a meal without too many calories, I guess there are other ones that do pretty similar but those are pretty cheap.0

My best ever weight loss was during extreme stress, where my only 'food' for two weeks was cups of tea. Of course this is not a recommended route to take.
When diagnosed as diabetic, the usual wakeup made me cut out all but natural sugars (eg in fruit) and eat 'everything in moderation' along with gentle exercise (usually a short walk). I was allowed treats like a treat size Mars bar, but preferred to do without as a little is just too tempting. This resulted in an obvious weight loss, as I went down a dress size and had a clear waist.
I've been naughty since, not helped by medications (no longer taken) that resulted in putting on a stone in four weeks, but have now cleared the house of sweets and intend to be good again.
I think it's easier in summer when there is lots of tasty fruit and salads are in season. Recommended diets are no use to me as I rarely like more than a few of the foods they suggest. For instance, most of the things in the Daily Mail's booklet, Quit Sugar, sound revolting eg sugar and fruit free muesli or porridge sweetened with coconut milk, for breakfast. I'd rather starve.
I think that a friend helps; especially when doing without or going for exercise.0
