N1CPC Claim form from Parking Eye

Firstly my apologies to everyone if what has happened to me has already been posted and replied too.
I have just received in the post (unrecorded) a County Court Claim Form from Parkingeye for parking on private land (A retail park car park) back in August last year.
I have at no time ever received the Parking Charge they claim to have issued to me, or indeed any reminders thereafter, if that is what they do?
I am loathed to contact them based on what I have read on the forums. However this is an official court document.
Can anyone best advise me as what to do - ignore or reply?
If I have to, I will appear in court and dispute the claim on the basis I have genuinely never received any previous correspondence before receiving the court claim form. Also I wonder if anyone else has had the same experience of receiving no initial correspondence only to recive a county court claim some 5-6 months later?

You must acknowledge the claim and ask for the extra time to defend the claim. DO NOT IGNORE IT

Was the form sent to you by PE or is it from the court.
i.e. is it a genuine court document or just a PE 'this is what we are going to do' scare tactic?0 -
No it will be a genuine court documentProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0

Thank you guys for your quick responses and link prompts
It almost definely is a genuine (based on the fact I've never received such a for in my life before) claim form from the same County Court as mentioned by other 'posters'0 -

Have you moved house or changed your car at all?
As KIFL says do not ignore - you need to acknowledge the claim on MCOL stating you will defend in full asap (no later than 14 days from service) and this then extends the time to file your initial defence to a total of 28 days from service. It is vital you do not miss these deadlines as Parking Eye will file for an automatic default judgment against you.
The guide suggested by KIFL is indeed excellent and can also be purchased via the Parking Pranksters website
