    Never leave moss to grow on your roof. Moss retains a shed load of moisture which (depending on the roof material) will either hasten the roof decay or at worst cause seepage.

    When I rented; one house had an external garage that the landlord wouldn't let me use because the roof leaked. When I looked it was covered in Moss. I cleaned it up and the roof never leaked again.
