Halifax Easycash Electron Card - New Electron Symbol?

Halifax seem to want to dole out Electron to everyone, but nowhere takes it - it's like Amex :P

If I were you Id switch to someone like NatWest that'll give you a combined Maestro/Cirrus card...

Can you define 'nowhere'??

Since I switched from my VISA Delta to Electron I've been able to use it in all the same places I've always shopped.. Infact my Electron works in more places that my Delta Card (Citibank one), But that's a whole other story.

I got a green Halifax EasyCash card when I opened my account last month... it still had the old logo on! (Why green when everyone else's seems to be blue?! lol)

Likewise, I opened a Nationwide Credit Card and was sent a card with the old logo on (although its website shows the new one!)

Abbey have been issuing the new-style Electron cards for a while now...

is it because:

Easycash - basic account - green card. Only bank account available to apply for other than full current account

Carcash account - haven't been available to apply for for well over a year (except under 18's) - this hasd a blue card

I have also noticed with some of the visa debit current accounts that the hollogram has been moved from the front to the back. anyone else noticed it?

yes I have noticed this - My barclaycard gold now has the hologram on the back.

...and while we are on the subject (!) - it is now the worst looking gold card I have every seen. OK, so its not a status symbol or anything, but it now just looks like a big lump of yellow and blue plastic.

visa debit cards at halifax have moved the hollogram to the back - now there is more space on the front of the card, so it looks like something is missing

you mean cardcash? - no you will still get cardcash

they both have electron anyhow
