I claimed I/s and hb over the phone on 29th January (also changed tax credits from joint to single)
on 31st I sent back the signed forms and also sorted my council tax reduction
on Friday I got letters from ct and tax credits to say all was sorted
my hb is only being held up while I wait for my landlord to send me a copy of my tenancy agreement
can someone tell me when ill likely hear something from I/s? will I get a letter before any payment? (tax credits you always seem to get the money first)
I've never claimed before and have worked full time since I was 16 so please don't judge. I am on my own now with 3 children so just want to get everything organised so everything can settle down again

When you first made the claim (by phone) they would have given you a telephone number to ring for future enquiries.
Current target processing time for IS is 9 days.
