Faulty camera ? dark images

    Look at the difference in the clouds of both pictures...

    The two shots you posted look like they could be part of a bracketed exposure sequence. Not all compact cameras have this feature but this takes a series of shots at different exposures. Usually a normal exposure then a darker one, then a brighter one.

    I've googled the specs of your camera and it doesn't look like your camera does bracketed shots though.

    If Sony have said return it for replacement then that's a good result apart from the inconvenience.

    Got my camera back today, they have fitted a new lens, works fine now, thanks for the help folks
