PPI Advice

Hi all
Sorry I know the same things must crop up here time and time again but I cannot see anything directly answering this so wondered if some wise soul could advise me.
I have never knowing-fully accepted or taken out PPI, that I am aware of.
I currently have the following debt, but honestly do not know if I am paying PPI or not
Barclays Loan (£1175 left of £11000 4 year loan).
Virgin - £1800
Vanquis - £3000
Mint - £1600
Barclaycard - £2600
I one of the typical muppets that pays off minimum payment so have had these for several years.
Not knowing if I have PPI or not, is my best bet just to contact each bank asking if I have PPI or not, then go from there?
If anyone has similar experience I'd love some advice from anyone that knows better.
I was tempted to just call one of the PPI claim places as it seemed easier in the fact I don't know what I am doing.
Any advice would be a huge help.
Many thanks
Mark

For credit cards you can look on each and every monthly statement-if it doesn't show and your account has a balance then you don't have PPI.Not knowing if I have PPI or not, is my best bet just to contact each bank asking if I have PPI or not, then go from there?
For loans you look on the agreement.
It sounds unlikely you'll have it then. PPI was not randomly added without the permission and knowledge of the customer-that is a myth sponsored by Claims Companies. If it does turn out that you have PPI, then you will have simply forgotten about it.I have never knowing-fully accepted or taken out PPI, that I am aware of.0 -
Thanks for the advice. I will check everything I have and go from there.
I will contact Barclays as I cannot find a copy of the agreement to hand.0 -
