Managed five NSD. V good. Just put £20 fuel in the car today, £18 on food and spent £10 on essentials. Boots vouchers spent on useful toiletries. £58 left. 12 days till payday. £4.80 per day. Getting a bit close to the edge.
Feeling a bit rubbish too. Had a fall yesterday and fractured wrist! Spent this morning in a and e getting x rayed and strapped up. It hurts! :(

Oh No! Hope you're OK HB - that's the last thing you need :( How long will it take? Make sure you keep it strapped up and give it the time it needs to heal.
    Sending lots of hugs
    xx

Oh and please don't cancel life insurance - a member of my extended family did just that to cut costs and then her husband died in an accident. It took her years to sort herself - she had never worked.

  • Thanks NOA and lucielle. I have a splint on and have to go back to fracture clinic the week after next. Blooming nuisance. It's amazing how much you miss your left hand! Will have to get OH to drive me around.
I've decided to keep paying the life assurance too, as all the advice that came in warned against giving it up.
Going to try to have seven NSD starting tomorrow.

So sorry to hear about your wrist HB. Take it easy so it will heal quickly!

By the way - you are so right to keep the life assurance going. We even increased ours during the DMP!

Have a lovely Saturday night - you absolutely must be the NSD champion of the world :) I just wouldn't be able to do it, even though I'd love to!

  • Thanks all. It's a glorious day here. Having a rest today...busy day tomorrow. Will have to be chauffeured about by OH as can't drive with dodgy hand. Don't know what I will do about work. Cover will have to be sorted out and I could do some at home. Oh dear. Might just have to give in and have a couple of weeks off, then.

What a downer about the wrist. If you really can't work, then make sure you are signed off by a doctor so you can be all square with work. Hope it heals quickly

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Thanks all. Well, decided I couldn't have time off. Too busy and too much to do. I've got the splint on and just doing my best. Hoping that driving isn't doing any damage.
On the financial front, not had to spend anymore on food yet, but had to put fuel in the car £20 and another £10 today. Only £28 left now :( and eight days to go...
