Best budget laptop with 17 inch screen?

Has anyone any experience of the Dell Laptop model 1720, please?

Only from seeing it in the shops though it seems to be out of stock now due to the £399.99 price which is pretty good for 2GB ram 120gig drive and 17". a bit grey and plactic looking but I'm sure it's a fairly decent machine. might be worth spending a bit more and getting a Toshiba P300-16T if you want a real eye-catcher though!(£499.99) 200gb drive, great speakers and glossy keyboard:)

If you want cheapest, there's the ACER 7520 here & here for under 300 pounds. You'll need to buy at least another GB of RAM. On the plus side, it has a bay for an additional SATA HDD.

2GB Ram for 299.00. Anyone after one could ask BP when they hope to have more stock in.
