Error r6034

We have windows 7 32 bit and have received the error R6034, searched google and it seemed to be related to iTunes. It was suggested to uninstall and reinstall iTunes, after rebooting to reinstall the pc froze just after loading and re tried this with the same result.

It runs ok in safe mode but will not run using clean boot in normal mode so decide to do system restore. This failed to complete on numerous occasions. Noticed that it was restoring !to wrong drive, it was restoring to drive d instead of c.

Stuck in limbo now has anyone got any suggestions please.

Uninstall iTunes and reinstall running the setup prog as an administrator

Can't install iTunes in safe mode, this is the error I get.

"The installer service is not accessible in safe mode. Please try again when ccomputer is not in safe mode or use system restore to return tyour machine to a previous good state".

As I said it won't run in normal boot even with a clean boot I locks up just after desktop is loaded and system restore fails every time.
