How long are MSE Cheap Energy Club switches taking?

I went through the MSE Cheap Energy Club to switch dual fuel on 18 January.
So far, I've heard nothing from the fuel supplier I'm trying to switch to.
Other than the standard email from MSE Cheap Energy Club at the time I initiated the switch, I've had no further communication from them either.
I've searched threads on the Forum and can see others seem to have waited weeks (months sometime) to effect the fuel switch done through the MSE Cheap Energy Club.
I've switched fuel supplier in the past, but have never encountered this sort of delay.
I'm not talking baout getting the thirty quid, I'm referring to getting the actual switch done.
I'll forego the thirty quid cashback to get this switch sorted without delay, but I know that if I initiate another switch myself it will likely mess up the whole process.
Is this delay because I've tried to switch via the MSE Cheap Energy Club?
Is there anything anyone else has done to speed the MSE Cheap Energy Club switch process up?

Is it nPower you're switching to?
I know their systems are a mess and often transfers don't go through unless you chase them up.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
E.on to nPower five weeks (3 Jan to 7 Feb to be exact) from application to changeover meter reading date. Confirmation from nPower on 30 Jan.0

It has nothing to do with the "club" which is just a switching help service. All delays are down to the service providers.Friendly greeting!0

No I'm switching from npower - obvs
- exactly because of what you say. Their systems are a mess and their complaints handling just awful 0 -

In that case, I've heard nothing from Coop Energy, who I'm moving to, in the 3+ weeks this switch has been in train.
Past experience with large utilities and telecoms has made me wary of getting involved when they're trying to do something simple, like execute a change instruction.0 -
after 14 days you should alway hereDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I,m moving to co op also, took 3 wks to receive welcome letter, they apologised for delay.i also received a phone call from a rather pompous british gas employee trying to point out the errors of my switching to co op,he tried to defend the recent £8 a month increase on my d/d......I,m in credit!.hope your sorted soon.0

Still waiting after 4 months !!!
Have switched via other sites before but never experienced a delay like this and MSE not interested...they've made their money...0 -
Let me tell you how the online comparison / broker system works.
When you use a website to switch, every day (usually the following morning) a bunch of switches are sent to each energy company together in a file (email, secure extranet etc).
The energy company confirms receipt by reporting back to the broker the total number of good individual switches contained in the data.
Based on recent switches using a range of brokers, the following companies send welcome emails within a couple of days:
First utility
npower.
Forum responses to this thread saying "npower systems are a mess" are wrong - its npowers billing system than can't cope. Nothing wrong with sales systems (naturally).
My experience with spark energy recently show suppliers are selective with their switches and filter out undesirable customers (not sure what criteria is).0 -

Just an update, in case it's of use to anyone ...
On 13 Feb I had the first contact from the supplier I am trying to move to.
They tell me the cooling-off period runs until 22 Feb.
After that the process is in the hands of my existing supplier, npower
, and the new one...
The new supplier say I will be switched on 21 March - so that's over two months since I initiated it.0
