I deleted any programs that I didnt recognise, used MalwareBytes thing, adn it had 30 infected files, so deleted them, (I think) then ran ccCleaner.. Restarted machine and they are still there. Avast is my antivirus.
Any suggestions please? Thank you

Sure I had this , found some settings to allow some sort of video app access , blocked them and it seemed to stop
Think it was bundled with a legit bit of software during an upgrade, possibly a DVD ripper or video ripper/ converter
Only affected chrome for me as it's my main browser
Hijack this showed a change to my hosts file from the default so I reset it

Will reset itEx forum ambassador
