Cost to replace existing condensing boiler

Our Glow-worm 30hxi condensing boiler has started playing up, hopefully it just needs a service, but does anyone have any idea of what the worst case scenario for replacing it like for like would be? I have found the model available for 720 inc VAT so just need an idea of what installation and any other costs might add up to.

Another £1250 with an independent, £2000 with BG. Most boiler manf. will insist on a power-flush and install of a Magnaclean before they will honour the guarantee.

I can only pass on our recent experiance of a new Vaillant replacing a Ferolli (?)
combi ie. virtually like for like, all pipes in place.

Our fitter plus unsociable youth took two and half hours to fit, the electrician took one hour to set up the external timer and replace the wired in thermostat.

I can't comment on the 'I have spoken' costings, but ours was a little less than this.

Five year warranty when installed by a Glow-worm Club installer.

So you should get a list of approved installers for quotes first.

What part of the country are you in?

We had a Baxi combi fitted for £1450 all in with flush and magnaclean and that included a new flue and a fairly complex drain installing unter the kitchen floor as the nearby downpipe was cast iron.

We live in the North East though so cheaper than most areas I suspect.

    * Baxi isn't the best manufacturer however so do some research into what make you want.
