SUPER thin door mat required........

new house and had laminate put down in the hallway (foam underlay and 8mm planks, nowt fancy)
went to buy a JML micro mat and theres no way the door will open over it. the gap between the door and laminate is about 4mm at best.
i know what i should have done is cut a pit into the laminate and had a mat sunk in. hindsight is great and all that
what we need now is a super think mat. ive an old stella bar mat (rubber bottom and a thin fabric red stella mortiff) that i acquired years ago and that fits under the door so something as thick as that would fit.
any ideas?? ta

This http://www.floormats.co.uk/floormatting/doormats/entrance-mat-power-clean-anthracite is described as bing 4mm thick. It's probably too big but it might be worth you contacting them to see if they do something similar in a smaller size. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0

Would a outside suitable doormat outside the front door be suitable and sufficient?
I have thin cotton rugs inside one of my doors, wash very easily, more attractive than a traditional doormat to me, but perhaps too slippery on laminate?0 -

Watson's http://watsonsfloormats.com/ do range of sizes and colours. We have had them last for many years despite going into the washing machine at least once a week. They are none-slip and my pantry door opens easily over the one on my kitchen floor.0

Not sure how thick these are but look fairly thin from Thursday at Aldi
