The AA car history check show the Finance Agreement recorded: What does this mean? Also £9495 seem to cheap? for this 3 yr old car?

I am just wondering if there is anything i need to know before purchasing.

Have you asked the seller why its showing as on finance?

You forgot to state the recorded mileage . Is it the 1.4 TSI ? what PS ( Pferdestärke ) is it (80 or 120) ? Model ES,SE, or match

Low miles in its favour and alloy wheels, but there are cheaper cars available from main dealers with a little more miles.

Query the finance, but i dont expect there to be any problem.

Seems like a lot of money to spend on a pretty unremarkable car to me...

(Note that this 1.4 produces 78 bhp compared to the 120 bhp you get from the 1.4 TSI engine. I'm far from a boy racer but you may find the 1.4 a bit sluggish, but obviously see what you think on a test drive.)

Yes with the 80 PS non turbo lump it is going to get overtaken by milk floats.
0 - 62 in 14 seconds. The 1.4 petrol can get you into orbit but not that version

In my honest opinion, if your fixed on golf because you think they're reliable, then you should reconsider...... They have a reputation gained in the 1980's which is entirely wrong right now.

Thanks Paul: Yes this the one: They will give me a letter to confirm that there will be no outstanding finance on this car. I have paid the deposit & will hope for the best.
